I tried signing in to demonoid today and got a ton of viruses. I used avg to clean up my computer but wanted to use something "better." Since I have comcast as my internet provider, I can get McAffee for free. So I went on the site and downloaded it and scanned my computer. It was relatively simple to scann but after it finished, I couldn't figure out what to do afterwords. It told me that I had 5 infected files ... and something about 56 files being detected. I wonder why avg didn't detect those? Anyways, if any of you use McAfee and know how to work it with jaws, I would really appreciate some help. Or if you can suggest another better virus program that is accessible with jaws I would love to hear of it as well!
Thanks a bunch in advance!

AVG is the best anti-virus in the world now.

Mcafee's the best virus protection software in the world. It has a security centre, firewall, Virus Scan and Spyware all available for just £59.99 and I haven't had any problems with Mcafee and JAWS 8.0.1163 for Vista. It's a hell of a lot easier to use than JAWS 6.0 with Mcafee.

O and Mechelle, just press Enter where JAWS says "clickable finish" after you complete the virus scan and you've viewed the results. Mcafee automatically removes all dodgy cookies, files and trojans.

Oh wow! Thanks so much for your replies. I did go back and download AVG because I couldn't figure out McAfee. But now, I might just go back and reinstall McAfee. I have a question though. How do you know that it automaticly removes all the viruses and such? When I clicked on finish, I don't believe it told me that it removed the infected files. I believe McAfee gave me a clickable link to view results, and after doing so, I was given the option to remove a certain file/cookie and didn't know where to go from there. lol I'm rambling. It's 4 in the morning here so please forgive me. hehe And as for AVG being the best, I still wonder why it didn't recognize the infected files as infected files. And Dumbledore's Girl? Have you ever used the registry cleaner in McAfee? lol I had a terrible experience with trying to clean out my registry a few weeks back so I was just wondering if you used it and how well it worked for you. Again, thanks for replying.

I don't think ours came with a registry cleaner. On our desktop, we used Winshampoo, but that means messing around changing your screen resolution so it works properly.
